It is her experience and education that has propelled Joanne Matik from the "Rising Star" award to the Luxury "Properties of Distinction" award. Even in the most challenging economic market, Joanne has shown continued success with higher than average production, higher average list to sell ratios and shorter market times for sellers and successfully negotiated contracts for her buyers when their special home is found.
Some of the keys to her success come from her listening and communication skills developed as a Registered Nurse at Evanston North Shore University and St. Francis hospitals. A student of humanity, she also has a BA in Cultural Anthropology.
Joanne started learning about selling residential real estate at Mitchell Brothers Real Estate (est. 1903 and merged with Koenig & Strey in 1993). Mitchell Brothers was owned by her parents. The tutelage as well as contacts and associations she continues to build upon is a benefit she passes to her clients today as a 4th generation Realtor. Her experience at Mitchell Bros. includes support personnel, Mortgage Loan Officer, Corporate Relocation Specialist and Realtor. Attention to detail, planning, implementation and execution earned her strong and devoted clientele as well as started her established network of influential contacts.
Succeeding in real estate today takes strong knowledge base and commitment to excellence combined with the goal orientation Joanne has repeatedly shown transaction after transaction. Most of all Joanne has learned that every client has their own individual needs and financial goals. Koenig & Strey provides the most sophisticated online marketing and exposure which are continually improved to keep pace with rapidly changing technology. Recently purchased by Warren Buffett's Home Living, Koenig and Strey continues to grow and remains a winning company to be aligned with.
Over the years Joanne has learned myriad marketing techniques and strategies; analyses/ pricing methods; and successful negotiation tactics. She consults and shares these with her clients every step of the way to a successful closing.
Joanne grew up in Evanston and has now lived in Glenview for 15 years. She remains as passionate about her communities' success as she is about her clients' success. She has served on several influential boards including The Evanston Child Care Center; The Woman's Club of Evanston; The Glenview Community Church Nursery School; The Glenview Community Church; Served as Liaison between the North Suburban Special Education District and Willowbrook School; and The Glenview Woman of Today.
Real Estate Designations include Certified Relocation Specialist (CRS) by the National Employee Relocation Council; Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), the highest provided by the National Association of Realtors (NAR); and Short Sale Foreclosure Resource (SFR) by the NAR.
